Insulating hot water pipes reduces heat loss and can raise water temperature 2ºF–4ºF. Polyethylene Pipe Insulation is used to insulate residential and commercial hot water, non-steam pipes with good thermal efficiency. Our most popular selling type of pipe insulation provides excellent resistance to water and water vapor. Closed-cell Polyethylene Pipe insulation is more energy efficient, flexible, ready to use and easy to install. 100% pre-slit, easy to use, available in wall thickness of 1/2”, 3/4” and 1”. An added benefit to insulating hot water pipes is you won't have to wait as long for hot water when you turn on a faucet or showerhead helping to conserve water. Temperature range -160°F to 200°F. Complies with requirements of ASTM E 84 1” 25/50 and UL 181 sections 11.0 a 16.0.
